Cette nomination intervient \u00e0 la suite du Conseil d\u2019administration tenu le 15 mars 2024. Il succ\u00e8de \u00e0 Guillaume Kurek qui occupait ce poste depuis pr\u00e8s de 3 ans.<\/p>\n<p>Dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00c9cole Sup\u00e9rieure Polytechnique de Thi\u00e8s, Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Zanklan a une grande carri\u00e8re internationale dans le domaine du g\u00e9nie civil des mines et de la gestion de projets. Apr\u00e8s plusieurs ann\u00e9es chez AcelorMittal o\u00f9 il occupe plusieurs fonctions op\u00e9rationnelles, il d\u00e9cide de rejoindre Eramet en 2018 pour d\u00e9marrer la mine de Weda Bay Nickel. Apr\u00e8s 3 ans en Indon\u00e9sie, il accepte un nouveau challenge en Nouvelle Cal\u00e9donie \u00e0 la SLN o\u00f9 il occupe d\u2019abord le poste de Directeur du D\u00e9veloppement des Mines avant d\u2019\u00eatre promu Directeur des Mines.<\/p>\n<p>Guillaume Kurek sera nomm\u00e9 <strong>Adjoint au Directeur G\u00e9n\u00e9ral de<\/strong> la SLN \u00e0 compter du 1er avril 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Depuis 2014, GCO r\u00e9alise l\u2019extraction de sable min\u00e9ralis\u00e9 le long de la c\u00f4te Atlantique au sein d\u2019une concession de 106 kilom\u00e8tres.<\/p>\n<p>Un investissement de 800M US$ a permis de d\u00e9velopper une mine et sa drague, deux usines, une centrale \u00e9lectrique, une base-vie de 550 lits, 100 km de voie ferr\u00e9e, des installations portuaires \u00e0 Dakar.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019entreprise est devenue la 4\u00e8 mine mondiale de produits titanif\u00e8res et de zircon.<\/p>\n<p>4\u00e8 contributeur minier au budget de l\u2019Etat s\u00e9n\u00e9galais, GCO emploie plus de 2\u00a0000 personnes.
