Commentaires demand\u00e9s lors de l’audit ind\u00e9pendant sur site selon le standard IRMA pour l’exploitation mini\u00e8re responsable des op\u00e9rations d’Eramet sur le site Grande C\u00f4te (GCO ), dans les d\u00e9partements de Tivaouane (r\u00e9gion de Thi\u00e8s) et de K\u00e9b\u00e9mer (r\u00e9gion de Louga), au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Entre le 8 et le 18 janvier 2024, les auditeurs de SCS Global Services (SCS) se rendront sur place dans le cadre de l’audit ind\u00e9pendant de l’exploitation de sables min\u00e9ralis\u00e9s de Grande C\u00f4te Operations (GCO) d’Eramet, afin d’\u00e9valuer ses performances au regard de la norme IRMA (Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance) pour l’exploitation mini\u00e8re responsable.<\/p>\n

L’audit a d\u00e9but\u00e9 en mai 2023 par un examen des documents fournis par la mine.  Cette prochaine phase sur site donne \u00e0 toutes les parties prenantes concern\u00e9es l’occasion de donner leur avis sur les performances de la mine en mati\u00e8re d’environnement, de sant\u00e9, de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et de communaut\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Au cours de la partie de l’audit r\u00e9alis\u00e9e sur place, les auditeurs demanderont aux parties prenantes locales, y compris les membres et les organisations de la communaut\u00e9, les fonctionnaires et les travailleurs de la mine ne faisant pas partie de la direction, de participer \u00e0 des entretiens ou \u00e0 des r\u00e9unions, ou de fournir des informations par d’autres moyens, notamment par courrier \u00e9lectronique ou en ligne.  SCS utilisera les commentaires des parties prenantes pour d\u00e9terminer la performance de GCO par rapport \u00e0 la norme IRMA.<\/p>\n

IRMA publiera le rapport d’audit complet sur le site https:\/\/responsiblemining.net. Ce rapport expliquera comment SCS a \u00e9valu\u00e9 le site minier par rapport aux exigences des 26 chapitres de la norme IRMA, et pourquoi. SCS attribuera des notes pour chaque chapitre. Apr\u00e8s la publication du rapport, les parties prenantes peuvent encore faire des commentaires sur les performances de la mine afin d’aider \u00e0 orienter l’am\u00e9lioration de l’exploitation tout au long du cycle d’audit triennal de l’IRMA.<\/p>\n
