On September 25, 2025, Eramet Grande Côte took a new step in its commitment to local communities by signing a memorandum of understanding with the Méouane municipality. The ceremony was held in the presence of the Sub-Prefect of the Méouane District, representing the State.
This partnership is built around four key priorities aimed at sustainably improving living conditions for local populations:
- Agriculture: creation of an agricultural area with boreholes and technical support.
- Education: construction of school infrastructure and awarding of excellence scholarships.
- Health: establishment of a health post to strengthen access to care.
- Women’s Empowerment: provision of funding to support income-generating activities.
The Mayor of Méouane, Cheikh Tidiane Sall, praised “Eramet’s involvement in the economic and social development of his municipality.”
Through this agreement, Eramet Grande Côte reaffirms its commitment to placing the needs of local communities at the heart of its strategy and to supporting the people of Méouane in a sustainable way.
