True to its commitment to the development of local communities, Eramet Grande Côte continues its efforts to improve access to education and encourage academic success.
For the 2025–2026 school year, the company distributed 1,800 school kits to students in the municipalities of Méouane, Kabb Gaye, Diokoul, Thieppe, and Diogo, as well as to children from the resettlement sites of Foth, Diourmel, and Thiakhmat. These kits, intended for students entering 6th grade and children in introductory classes (CI) from low-income families, aim to promote schooling and academic achievement in rural areas.
This commitment is complemented by investments in school infrastructure, which are already showing results. The outcomes of the 2024–2025 school year demonstrate tangible impact:
- Foth: 100% success rate at BFEM and 84% at CFEE
- Diourmel: 90% success rate at CFEE
- Thiakhemat: enrollment tripled thanks to improved infrastructure
Through these initiatives, Eramet Grande Côte reaffirms its conviction: education is a cornerstone of sustainable development and community empowerment.
