Constant product testing in the laboratory is essential to ensure their quality. As a central element of the production process control, the Eramet Grande Côte laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment: X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, precision balances, etc.
Each product from a stage of the process – from ore extraction to loading the product onto ships – is analyzed by the laboratory to ensure that the quality meets the required specifications.
Eramet Grande Côte, Senegal’s first doubly certified mine
- ISO 14 001: Eramet Grande Côte is the first mining company in Senegal to obtain ISO 14 001 certification for its environmental management system in 2020. This certification, successfully renewed in 2024, demonstrates the integration of the recommendations of this international standard by each employee. Best practices in this field are incorporated into environmental management.
- ISO 50 001: Eramet Grande Côte also obtained ISO 50 001 certification in 2021. In this area as well, the company has shown commitment by implementing an energy management policy that meets the highest international standards.
IRMA Standard
In addition to the rigor of Energy and Environmental management systems, Eramet Grande Côte has voluntarily decided to have its socio-environmental practices audited according to the highly demanding standard of responsible mining IRMA. This standard is integrated into Eramet’s Act for Positive Mining roadmap.
